The Toothpaste Millionaire

That was the name of the play that John's class did today. Really cute! It's based on a book by Jean Merrill. I'd never heard of it, but it did end up being quite cute. John was the assistant set designer and his friend Teddy was the main character, Rufus. They all did really well.
I've discovered a new passion for a game called Bunco. I'm not even sure why I like it. As a matter of fact, I actually think it's kind of boring. And yet, still quite addictive! I play the online version and it happens to be sponsored by Prilosec. I'm going to post the link on the side if anyone else is bored and wants to try it. There is no skill needed, so don't worry about that.
Jason and I have worked it out and as of right now, it will cost us $1700.00 to drive to Anchorage, AK. That includes gas, lodging and food for everyone. Now, if Jason drives the van and the rest of us fly, that would bring us up to about $2700.00. Of course, that's buying the airline tickets 4 months in advance which probably wouldn't happen. I think Jason wants the kids and I to fly. I understand that. However, I don't think I want to miss all the pretty sights on the way up there! I'm also not sure I want to fly by myself with all 4 kids. Granted, it's only a one day flight, so it would be much shorter than the 65 hours it would take us to drive, but I'm still not sure. I am, however, open to advice if anyone has any. LOL
Jason is upset tonight. He decided to go back to windows Vista as the operating system on his computer. Well, when he installed it again, it didn't copy the drivers for his modem. He's not pleased that he has no internet. LOL I did look up the nearest library, which is right down the street, so that he can go tomorrow and download the drivers, but for tonight, he's not a happy camper. Hopefully that will get straightened out soon.
Jason's first week at school went well. He signed all the appropriate paperwork, so now we have medical insurance and life insurance. LOL He said it's been pretty boring this week, but hopefully it will pick up in the next few months. He's still looking for an alternative place to live, since this one is costing us about $900.00 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. I don't consider that worth it, even if it is furnished! We'll see how that goes. He has until the 31st to find somewhere else, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm going to start keeping track of the gas prices here, just for kicks. LOL
