This is just the latest in a line of games that are just insane. I have noted quite a few rather unusual subjects for video games lately. Such as the Mexican Immigrant flash game, in case you haven't run across this, you get to shoot people walking across the border, and the much publicized Columbine Massacre RPG. Now, I like video games as much as the next person, but it seems like we are going way downhill in the stupid department. I'm not one of these people that is convinced that the decline of morality in the world today can be based solely on the shoulders of the video game industry. Rather I would say that the games being produced now are mirrors of what society as a whole has become. As a parent, I often have to decide whether something is appropriate or not for the kids to play/watch. Sometimes the answer is easy and requires no thought. Other times, it's an internal struggle where I mentally compare the violence on this video game to the things they see all the time and try and figure out if it will have some sort of negative reaction. It seems anymore that we accept so much more than we used to! Family Guy is shown at primetime, the FCC no longer has strict restrictions on the language we hear, sexual issues, both heterosexual and homosexual run rampant on television. On the radio explicit lyrics are the order of the day. Oh well, I guess I will just continue to use my judgement and hope that I can keep my kids going in the right direction. Of course, I grew up watching Tom and Jerry beat the hell out of each other and I'm ok, I think....
