Rants, Raves and Reticulated Splines

I know.. It's been about a month since I have written anything. Well, I figure that's ok, because most of you know that I have a notoriously short attention span, so I take breaks in things fairly often. lol In any case, I have returned to write another day so if you were concerned, well... thanks. =) Oh, for some reason, my comments were set so that you could only leave one if you were signed into a Google account. I've changed this, so no one should have a problem leaving one now! (What this really means is I had better see some darn comments soon!!!)

I would like to say that I am completely tolerant of everything, but the simple truth is that I’m not. I have beliefs and customs that could and probably would offend someone else. And you know what? I don’t care! They are MY beliefs and MY customs and they only have to be ok with me! We all have that right! You don’t have to conform to my beliefs and I don’t have to make excuses for them! We don’t have to agree! You don’t believe in what I do? So what? I could care less! I am not interested in converting anyone to my way of thinking, or trying to make people accept who and what type of person I am. I simply don’t care. But you don’t have any right to say I’m wrong. Just who the hell are you? How about you just leave me alone and I’ll leave you alone! And yes! I have CHRISTMAS lights, not holiday lights. This world has become so freaking politically correct that it’s hard to stand listening to anyone! Is everyone really that insecure that you can’t freaking take hearing what other people have to say? So what if they don’t like you! Who cares? Get over it!

Ok.. I have just received the most inane phone call. It was from some group or another that wanted me to support their cause. Now here’s the kicker! They are apparently some type of “Child Advocacy” group that wants to ban any type of adult viewing on public airwaves. They also went into some crap about video games. Wow… Our society has really gone downhill. Of course, I told these people exactly where they could stick this type of thinking. But, I think it’s sad that it’s come down to this. We have, somewhere along the lines, gotten so lazy as parents that we have completely given up trying to control our children ourselves and have instead given that responsibility to various groups of people. And most people are OK with this!!! As a matter of fact, most people have decided that it’s not even worth their effort to fight this. Their mentality is “Why should I bother when someone else will do it for me? It may not be what I wanted, but at least I won’t have to spend MY time doing it.” This is why in some parts of California, a 14 year old girl can go to school, tell them she’s pregnant and they will arrange to take the girl to Planned Parenthood and if necessary, arrange for an abortion, ALL WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE! Yes, all this can happen without you even knowing. A child who has no legal right to drink, vote or smoke because they are TOO YOUNG, can make a life changing decision all by themselves, unless of course you are counting the oh so helpful people at planned parenthood (who I’m sure are getting a kickback from those bastards who are doing the embryonic stem cell research).

So anyway… I’m done ranting, but I do suggest you evaluate what your beliefs are and how willing you are to give them away. Because if you aren’t, you better start looking at ways to beat the system.

Oh! And today, Jason got his paperwork from the FAA. It actually has Fairbanks AK listed on it. It’s a little creepy to see it in print like that. It makes it seem very final. LOL I’ll let you know how that goes!
